Emergency shelter funds available The South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA) announces the availability of $327,750 under the Emergency Shelter Grants Program (ESGP) for fiscal year 2001.
The ESGP is specifically intended to assist, improve, or expand existing emergency housing shelters servicing homeless individuals and families. Funding awards may be used for specific activities in support of homeless shelters including: renovation/major rehabilitation/conversion; maintenance and operating costs; provision of related essential social services; and homeless prevention activities.
All applications must be received at the SDHDA office in Pierre no later than 5 p.m., on Feb. 1, 2001, and must be prepared in accordance with the 2001 SDHDA ESGP Administrative Plan.
