Ireland appears in theatre production

Ireland appears in theatre production Patrick Ireland, a freshman at Lawrence University, appeared in four recent performances of Lawrence's production of Frank Loesser's The Most Happy Fella, a musical comedy about an aging Italian vineyard owner's love for a young waitress and the complications that arise from a long-distance marriage proposal.

Ireland played the role of Doc, the town physician. A 2000 graduate of Vermillion High School, he is the son of Janis Ireland, Vermillion, and Dennis Ireland, Soldotna, AR.

Founded in 1847, Lawrence University has produced seven Rhodes Scholars and is consistently ranked among the country's best national liberal arts colleges.
