Letters Tanagers demonstrated true sportsmanship
To the editor:
We would like to extend a warm, heartfelt thank you to your girls' basketball team, coaches, parents and fans for inviting our girls' basketball team to your dance after the receptions at the Ramkota in Watertown on Saturday night following the Girls' State A Basketball Tournament. Your display of sportsmanship was incredible.
There were basketball players from Vermillion, Sisseton, Sioux Valley, Parkston and Cheyenne Eagle Butte all out on the dance floor together having a great time, not long after competing against each other for three days.
The girls got to relax and meet their competitors in a new light.
Thanks again for reminding us all what true sportsmanship is all about.
