Vermillion singer to perform at 'Parade of Christmas Trees' Yankton's second Parade of Christmas Trees will take place Dec. 2-5 at the United Church of Christ at Fifth and Walnut, from 5 to 9 p.m. each evening.
Seventy-five trees of all sizes and styles are ready to be shown.
A special added feature this year is the many area performers who will lend musical renderings each evening as scheduled:
Saturday: 2 p.m., Yankton UCC Children's Bell Choir; 2:30 p.m., Mary Green Vickery, singer/songwriter, Vermillion; 3 p.m., Emma Brown, Christmas music; 3:30 p.m., Ted and Jennifer Powell, Sylvia Selgestad; 4 p.m., Mary Green Vickrey; 7 p.m., the Yankton Barbershop Chorus; 7:30 p.m., the Scotland UCC Church variety singers; 8:30 p.m., the Crofton UCC Church Choir.
Sunday: 5 p.m., Freeman Children's Choir; 6:30 p.m., Cosette Hemen, recording artist; 7 p.m., the Gospel Four Quartet; 8 p.m., Piano and organ duet.
Monday: 7 p.m., John and Susan McNeil, Springfield; 7:30 p.m., MMC Brass Quintet; 8:15 p.m., The Sweet Adelines Christmas Show.
Tuesday: 7 p.m., Kathy Koenig and Tim Dingman, Tyndall; 7:45 p.m., Emma Brown, soprano solo; 8 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Bell Choir; 8:30 p.m., Cosette Hemen, recording artist.
Visitors are requested to use the elevator entrance on the southwest corner of the church. Admission is $2.50 for adults and $1 for children under age 12. Bars and coffee will be served to all guests in the church parlors.
