America’s Shrine to Music Museum elects new trustees

America's Shrine to Music Museum elects new trustees Darlene Cimpl and Jo Wohlenberg of Yankton, and Tom Lillibridge of Bonesteel, have been elected to three-year terms on the board of trustees of America's Shrine to Music Museum on the campus of The University of South Dakota in Vermillion.

Marjorie Beaty of Vermillion was re-elected to a three-year term, as were Charles H. Burke Sr., Pierre, Cynthia J. Lillibridge, Bonesteel, William G. Peterson, Sioux Falls, Carole Stavens, Sioux City, IA, and Marifran Wohlenberg, Yankton.

Richard A. Cutler, Sioux Falls, was elected chairman of the board, with Cynthia J. Lillibridge, Bonesteel, as vice-chairman, Marilyn Nyberg, Yankton, secretary, Larry Ness, Yankton, treasurer, and John R. Waltner, Freeman, member-at-large, executive committee.

The trustees, who provide leadership for the museum in partnership with USD, are responsible for funding new acquisitions, as well as expenses associated with permanent and temporary exhibitions, concerts and other public programming, scholarly publications and recordings, outreach services, and the museum's extensive educational programs for area school children.
