Bridge committee plans to meet Jan. 22 The general membership of the Newcastle/Vermillion Bridge Committee will meet Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Newcastle, NE, fire station.

"We'll be meeting to wrap up what we started way back on April 18, 1988," said Dr. Jim Green of Vermillion, a member of the committee. "We will also present the ground breaking banner to the City of Newcastle."

A construction update is also on the agenda, Green added.

The public is invited to attend the meeting.
