Celebrates 90th Aike Holleman of Vermillion celebrated his 90th birthday on Dec. 23 with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m at his home. The event was hosted by his wife Eileen, and his four children: Tim of Minneapolis, Charlotte from Washington, DC and twin daughters Roberta and Loretta from Chicago and their families.
He has 11 grandchildren.
Holleman was formerly a principal and science teacher at Burke. He moved to Vermillion in 1957 where he taught chemistry and physics until his retirement.
