Exchange vows Wendy Whitehill and Scott Johnson were married Nov. 11, 2000 at the First United Methodist Church in Sioux City, IA, with Dr. Rev. Allan Call officiating.
Parents of the couple are Sandi Whitehill and the late Dr. G.K. Whitehill, Sioux City, and Rodney and JoLynn Johnson, Sioux City. The groom is the grandson of Nels and Shirley Brunick of Vermillion.
Maid of honor was Melinda Foster. Bridesmaids were Megan Hillman, Sioux City, and Heather McCullough of Arizona. Flower girls were Kinsey and Katie Whitehill, Decorah, IA.
Mark Johnson, brother of the groom, Sioux City, was best man. Groomsmen were Brent DeVries and Trent Whitehill, brother of the bride, Sioux City. Ring bearer was Michael Brunick, Vermillion. Ushers were Isaac Duerloo and Tyson Whitehill, Sioux City, and Dan Duerloo, Minneapolis, MN.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the North Sioux City Community Center. Cake was cut and served by Dawn Clemens, Sioux Center, IA, and Melanie Rupp, Houston, TX.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of North High School and a 1999 graduate of Morningside College with a degree in elementary education. She is teaching in the Sioux City schools.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of North High School and is currently employed as a carpenter with Protexter Homebuilders.
The couple traveled on a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, and resides in Sioux City.
