USD men up to No. 6

USD men up to No. 6 The South Dakota men's basketball team jumped seven spots and now are ranked as the No. 6 team in NCAA Division II, according to rankings released by the NABC/Division II Bulletin Jan. 22.

The Coyotes, 14-2 and 8-1 in the North Central Conference, were ranked 13th in the Jan. 15 poll.

Southern Indiana (13-0) is ranked No. 1 followed by Adelphi (15-0) at No. 2 and Northern Kentucky (16-2) at No. 3. Wingate (16-1) is ranked No. 4 with Cal State-Bernardino (13-1) at No. 5 in the poll.

South Dakota, the two-time defending NCC champions, will face the No. 10 ranked South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Friday night, Jan. 26 in the DakotaDome. Gametime is approximately 8 p.m. (30 minutes after women's game which begins at 6 p.m.).

South Dakota will also host Augustana College on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the DakotaDome.
