Exchange vows Nicole VonBonn and Scott Mockler were married Nov. 4, 2000 at St. Agnes Catholic Church,Vermillion, with Father Donald Imming officiating.
Parents of the couple are Doug and Jan VonBonn, Elgin, NE, and Richard and Agnes Mockler, Burbank. Matron of honor was Gail Albrecht, Parkston. Bridesmaids were Susan Koepke, Joplin, MO, Tami Mockler, Madison, and Jill Johnson, Sioux Falls. Flower girls were Ally and Maddy Mockler, Madison.
The bride's personal attendant was Tammy Schiller, Brookings. Flower pinner was Michelle Flyger, Vermillion. Karl and Katie Mockler, Vermillion, attended the guest book.
Kelly Manning, Sioux Falls, was best man. Groomsmen were Todd Mockler, Burbank, Travis Mockler, Wakonda, and Keith Mockler, Madison. Ushers were Pete Jahn, Vermillion, Rich Jahn, Vermillion, Ryan VonBonn, Elgin, NE, and Gary Gilbertson, Sioux Falls.
Wedding music was provided by Deb Christensen, Vermillion, organist, and Paul Krier, Vermillion, soloist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Kelly Inn, Yankton, with Mike and Linda McLain, Hays, KS, and Wally and Jean Mockler, Burbank, as hosts. Punch was served by Sarah McLain, Hays, KS. Cake was cut/served by Karla VonBonn, Elgin, NE, and Sally Manning, Burbank.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Elgin High School. In 1998 she received a bachelor of science degree in social work from The University of South Dakota and currently attends Colorado Tech University, majoring in medical assisting. She is employed at Sioux Valley Vermillion Clinic as a receptionist.
The groom is a graduate of Vermillion High School. He is a truck driver with Van Waters and Rogers in Sioux City, IA.
The couple resides in Vermillion.
