USD men drop three slots to No. 9 in NCAA II rank The South Dakota men's basketball team split a pair of games over the weekend but still remain ranked in the top 10 in NCAA Division II.
The Coyotes are 16-3 overall, and sit atop the North Central Conference with a 9-2 mark. The NABC/Division II Bulletin released the rankings Monday, Jan. 29.
The Coyotes were ranked No. 6 in the country on Jan. 22.
South Dakota fell to no. 10 South Dakota State, 85-72 on Friday, Jan. 26, before rebounding and turning back Augustana College, 81-67 on Saturday night, Jan. 27.
Adelphi (18-0) is the new No. 1 team in NCAA Division II, moving ahead of Southern Indiana (16-1). Northern Kentucky (18-2) is third and Wingate (18-1) is ranked No. 4 with California State-Bernardino (15-1) at No. 5 in the poll.
