Will perform Feb. 22 USD music professors John Thomson and Larry Schou will perform a recital in America's Shrine to Music Museum on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m.
They will play music for violin and harpsichord. This is an instrumental combination that usually means that the music to be played will be from about 250 years ago.
However, the duo has found some exciting newer music written in the 20th century that they will play along with the older masterpieces. The concert is being presented to raise money for music scholarships.
"The USD Music Program has grown enormously recently, and we will be grateful for any donations people can make," Thomson said.
It is suggested that concert-goers could make a $5 donation (or $1 for students) to help with this cause.
