Clay RWS announces scholarship program The Clay Rural Water System of Wakonda announces its 2001-2002 Scholarship Program for system members.
Two $500 grants will be awarded for the 2001-02 school year to a member or the children of members of Clay Rural Water. The program is intended to recognize the achievements of area youth and assist them in bettering themselves by obtaining a higher education. This is the ninth year of the program.
The grants will be available to a student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.
The recipients will be pre-qualified based on a combination of academics, extra-curricular and community service criteria. Two winners will be randomly drawn from the qualified group.
Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors or by contacting Clay Rural Water at (605) 267-2088.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 10.
