Girl Scouts to start annual cookie sales The Thin Mints are coming! The Thin Mints are coming!
After a year of not being able to get those most delicious of all cookies, it looks like cookie time again. The Girl Scouts in Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth, Cherokee, Woodbury, Ida and Manona Counties in Iowa; Dakota County in Nebraska; and Union and the southern half of Clay counties in South Dakota begin taking orders March 17.
Expect a Girl Scout to appear on your doorstep or to ask for your order at church, school or the grocery store. For just $3 per box you can enjoy your fill of Thin Mints, Caramel DeLites, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Patties and Upside Down Oatmeals.
If you prefer a reduced fat variety, ask for Reduced Fat Lemon Pastry Cremes. And be sure to try the delicious Animal Treasures (mouth-watering shortbread cookies dipped in rich fudge and embossed with a picture of endangered animals.)
Cookies will be delivered the week of April 21.
If you need an excuse to satisfy that Thin Mint craving, just remind yourself that you are doing a good deed by supporting the Girl Scouts and all of the good things they do for the community.
Keep an eye out for Girl Scouts in your neighborhood selling cookies March 17-31 or contact the Sioux Trails Girl Scout Council at (712) 255-0187 or 1-800-746-8947.
