Leslie Larson awarded Presidential Scholarship Dr. Myrvin Christopherson, president of Dana College, Blair, NE, has announced the winners of the 2001 Presidential Scholarship Competition.

Leslie Larson, of Vermillion High School and daughter of LeRoy and Marlys Larson of Vermillion, was awarded a Presidential Scholarship at Dana College for the academic year 2001-02.

The Presidential Scholarship program is designed to recognize the academic achievements of high school seniors. More than 100 students spent a day at Dana College and participated in a variety of activities which included an essay competition and personal interview with Dana students, faculty, and staff members.

Students eligible to participate in the competition were required to have a grade point average of at least 3.25 out of a possible 4.0 or have a minimum ACT composite score of 25 or SAT combined score of 1130.

Dana College is a private, four-year liberal arts and sciences college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
