Sigma Nu to host Run for Courage The Sigma Nu fraternity at The University of South Dakota will host its bi-annual Run for Courage fund raiser on April 28-29.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds and awareness for the South Dakota Special Olympics. The chapter hopes to raise $1,000.
"This event takes an incredible amount of organization and coordination," said USD Greek Life Advisor Genevieve Evans Taylor. "I am proud of the men in their fund raising and awareness efforts for the South Dakota Special Olympics."
The men start the run at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 28 at Kadoka. From there, they run to Chamberlain, hoping to arrive by 2 p.m. for lunch. From Chamberlain they run to Mitchell where they will rest for the evening. On Sunday, the men start running at 10 a.m. and arrive at the Buffalo Trading Post in Hartford around 2:30 p.m. Hartford is the ending point of the run.
