Scores of people filled the DakotaDome Sunday to participate in the annual Clay County DakotaDome Relay for Life. The event is the county's largest fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. The event began at 11 a.m. Sunday when cancer survivors walked a victory lap on the DakotaDome track. The members of over 50 15-member teams then began walking and jogging in the Dome to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The inside of the track was lined with hundreds of luminarias, each bearing the name of a cancer survivor or someone who has died of cancer. The event ended at 5 p.m. Sunday.
