Wilber Lio receives honorable mention The 2001 Young Musician Competition took place Sunday, March 4 at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Sciences.
This state and regional competition for piano, strings, bass, and woodwinds is open to all full-time students through their senior year in high school.
This year, 21 students participated in the competition, which is designed to promote and develop musical talent in the state and region.
Eight students received honorable mention honors for their performances, including Wilber Lio of Vermillion.
