Golfers open 2001 season The Tanager girl's golf team, led by sophmore Allison Stewart, entertained the Brandon Valley Lynx and Yankton Gazelles in a triangular match on Monday, April 2 at The Bluffs in Vermillion.
Team scoring involved using the front nine for the Lynx and the full 18 for the Gazelles.
Using this routine the varsity team results were: Yankton, 378; Vermillion, 379; and Brandon Valley 228; Vermillion, 186. Neither visiting team brought complete JV squads so no JV team scores were computed.

Allison Stewart was medalist for both competitions, and Vermillion won over Brandon Valley (by 42 points) while losing to Yankton (by 1 point).
