Stewart is medalist at Sioux City North invite The Vermillion High School girls' golf team played in the Sioux City North High School Invitational on Monday, April 23.
The 9-hole competition, played at the Sioux City Country Club, involved the four local Sioux City high schools, Le Mars, IA, and Vermillion.
Medalist with a score of 43 was Allison Stewart, who led the Tanager team to first place in the tournament with a total score of 190. Heelan was second with 211, North, 226, East, 230, Le Mars, 240, and West, 243.
The other Vermillion team members and their scores were: Karrie Plate, Tabitha Hubert, and Brooke Nelson, each with 49; and Ashley Bjorkman, 60.
The top four Tanager scores were better than the top scorer on every other team in the tournament!
