Tanagers earn third at Lennox track meet The Tanager boys' track team placed third among seven schools represented at the Lennox invite on Tuesday, April 12.
Final standings were: First � Lennox (167); second � Madison (150); third � Vermillion (94); fourth � Canton (80); fifth � Harrisburg (59); sixth � Howard (53); seventh � Tri-Valley (27).
Field event results for Vermillion were: Discus � first, Tim Brodersen (170'11", a meet record) and second, Tim Russell (a personal best 159'4"); shot put � second, Anthony Senne; long jump � third, Kellen Cusick; triple jump � fourth, Jared Burcham.
Dan Tolsma placed fourth in the 100m dash and was first in the 200m dash with a time of 23.4 seconds. Bart Miller and BJ Reynolds came in fifth and sixth, in that order. In the 400m dash, Adam Brooks placed fourth.
In the distance runs, the 800m had Tyler Brown in sixth, and in the 1600m, Darryl Neufeld placed fourth.
In the 4x400m relay the team of Eric Dehner, Miller, Adam Brooks and Tolsma placed fourth with a time of 3:42. The 4x800m relay team came in fifth (Justin Manning, Mitch Bierle, Caleb Berry and Fred Banks).
The medley team of Burcham, Reynolds, Cusick, and Dehner won first with a meet record of 3:51.5 minutes.
