United Way board grateful for support This week of April 22-28 is National Volunteer Recognition Week.
The board of directors of United Way of Vermillion thanks all of the community members who worked so hard and donated so much time and energy to making the 2001 campaign such a great success.
The board also recognizes the generous response from all of the United Way's donors, from the corporate sponsors to individuals, who made a contribution no matter how big or how small. Every penny counts and enables United Way of Vermillion to assist its agencies and the people they serve.
To the community, thank you from the Vermillion Area Arts Council, Vermillion Senior Citizens Center, Dakota Senior Meals (including Meals on Wheels), the Vermillion Food Pantry, the Vermillion Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Vermillion Red Cross Swimming Lessons, SESDAC, Inc., South East Transit, Clay County Child Protection Team, Clay County Rescue Association, Sioux Valley Vermillion Homecare Visiting Nurses and Hospice, Sioux Council Boy Scouts, Sioux Trails Girl Scouts Council, Big Friend/Little Friend, Friends of the W.H. Over Museum, and the John and Connie Vucurevich Children's Center.
The United Way Board of Directors is grateful to all of its agencies and to the Vermillion Plain Talk, the Vermillion Chamber of Commerce, and KVHT-KOSZ for their cooperation and support during the 2001 campaign. Their participation has been vital to its overwhelming success.
