Karrie Plate medalist against SF Washington The Sioux Falls Washington girls' golf team wanted to play a practice round at The Bluffs before the regional tournament next week, so they approached Coach Kirk Hogen about having a match with Vermillion, and he agreed.
On Tuesday, May 8 the Tanagers toppled the Warriors 337-394.
Medalist with a score of 76 was Karrie Plate. Allison Stewart placed second with 82, followed by Tabitha Hubert at 86, Ashley Bjorkman with 93, and Brooke Nelson at 95.
The only scores less than the Tanagers' top four was a 90 for Micky Berglin of Sioux Falls Washington.
While there were no JV matches, the Vermillion girls played for positioning in the regional. Dru VanKley and Megan Deaver each scored 103, and Jackie Thomas had a 106.
