Photographer to bring skills back to home town May 11-15 Vermillion High School graduate Aaron Packard will be in Vermillion May 11-15 as a freelance photographer doing distinctive portraiture.
Packard, 30, now lives in San Francisco. He is the son of Phyllis Packard, Vermillion, and Dan Packard, Port Townsend, WA. After a four-year stint in the Navy, he studied photography at The University of South Dakota. For the last five years, he has been working as a commercial portrait photographer in San Francisco.
Packard has traveled the world doing promotional commercial photography for various clients, including Lucent Technologies, IBM, Saturn, Dean Witter and Hershey Chocolates. Before going freelance, he worked for three years as first assistant to an internationally known commercial photographer.
