Spader awarded $1,000 scholarship from Truman State Truman State University student, Sarah Spader of Vermillion, has been awarded a scholarship from the Truman State University Foundation in the amount of $1,000 for the 2001-2002 academic year.
Spader, a senior accounting major, received the Alma L. Kotez Memorial Scholarship. Spader is the daughter of Dean Spader and Vikki Fix and attended Vermillion High School.
At Truman, she is involved in Delta Sigma Phi (business and accountancy fraternity), Phi Kappa Phi (honor fraternity), and the Truman volleyball team as the student assistant coach.
This scholarship is funded by generous contributions to the Truman State University Foundation from alumni and friends. This year more than $290,000 will be distributed to deserving Truman students who demonstrate financial need or exceptional leadership and academic ability.
