Vermillion among top- rated cities People who call Vermillion home know it's a good place to live.

And word of the positive lifestyle offered by the community is beginning to spread.

A column by Danielle Reed in the May 11 Wall Street Journal reveals a web site that compares cities' vital statistics.

"On HomeAdvisor.com, hit the 'compare cities' link, and check off the criteria that matter most � lower crime than national average? Highly rated schools? Better schools?" Reed stated.

She looked for cities with school ratings over seven (on a scale of 10), 175 to 224 sunny days a year and a cost of living index below the national average.

Only 17 U.S. cities fit the bill, including Vermillion.
