Vermillion residents to receive landfill vouchers for a 'free day' Vermillion residents will soon receive Vermillion Land- fill vouchers in the mail.

The Vermilion Resident Land fill Voucher Program is a service of the city of Vermillion Solid Waste Department and the city council. Vouchers are available to each household so that residents may choose one day in the year to take materials to the landfill free or at reduced cost.

Facility hours are: Recycling � Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. This is a free service; Landfill � Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon; Commercial packer trucks � Saturday, 9 to 10 a.m.

Vouchers are redeemable until Nov. 25 and are good up to a value of $15. They can be used for multiple trips during one day and can be assigned to a commercial hauler or other transporter with a resident's signature.

Specific details about the program are included in the brochure that accompanies the voucher.

Residents who have not received their vouchers by May 16 should call Phyllis Packard, Vermillion Solid Waste Department, at 677-7076.
