Engaged Jim and Iris Rydell of Vermillion announce the engagement of their daughter, Christie, to Joel Vos, son of Lois Vos, Newton, IA, and the late Roger Vos.
The bride-to-be is a 1995 graduate of Vermillion High School and a 1999 graduate of Northwestern College. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Iowa School of Library and Information Science.
Her fiance is a 1995 graduate of Pella Christian High School and a 1999 graduate of Dordt College. He is currently a student at the University of Iowa College of Law.
The couple is planning an Aug. 11 wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vermillion.
