Hogen exceeds PGA standard Brett Hogen passed the PGA's player ability test on June 7 at HiMark Golf Course in Lincoln, NE.
His scores for the 36-hole, one-day "marathon" were 76 and 73, giving him the low score among the competitors, exceeding the qualifying standard by six strokes.
This accomplishes the first requirement needed to earn a teaching professional card from the PGA, as Hogen's early goal in his education is to emulate his dad, Kirk, the PGA pro at The Bluffs in Vermillion.
