Ireland joins Beta Theta Pi Patrick B. Ireland, son of Jan and Dennis Ireland, Vermillion, has been initiated into Beta Theta Pi by the chapter of Lawrence University, Appleton, WI.
He is a graduate of Vermillion High School.
Beta Theta Pi, which was founded in 1839 at Miami (OH) University, is dedicated to scholarship, brotherhood and community service. The fraternity has more than 115,000 members, including some 7,000 collegians on 138 campuses in Canada and the United States.
The Lawrence chapter of Beta Theta Pi was chartered in 1936. The fraternity also has chapters at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin-Oshkosh and in Illinois at Northwestern University.
