Korte named to dean's list Kendra Korte, a junior from Vermillion, has been named to the Luther College dean's list for the second semester of the 2000-01 academic year.
Korte, the daughter of Leon and Solveig Korte of Vermillion, is majoring in English and music.
Included on the list are 776 students: 119 freshmen, 172 sophomores, 194 juniors and 291 seniors.
To be named to the dean's list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must compete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades (A, B, C, D). Students on the list may have no more than one credit hour of "incomplete" and may not have a grade of "F" or "no credit."
Luther is a selective four-year college located in Decorah, IA. The college has an enrollment of over 2,600 students, primarily from a four-state, upper Midwest area. The student body includes about 120 international students.
Luther offers a liberal arts education leading to the bachelor of arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs. The college's academic programs in the sciences, arts and humanities, supported by cocurricular and student life activities, prepare students to serve and to achieve.
