Letters We can, and do, enrich each other's lives
To the editor:
We at First Dakota National Bank want to express our pride towards the Vermillion community. On June 25, not only did individuals show their support, but local businesses as well. We hosted a fund-raising car wash which couldn't have been the success that it was without the help of people who care, and it's obvious to us that Vermillion has a lot of heart.
Support came from all of you who participated, by bringing in your cars, enjoying the sport of the dunk tank, and cooling down with a root beer float. The generous donations from Hy-Vee and Pamida, and the equipment loaned by our local 4-H organization, along with the public interest advertisements we received from the Plain Talk and KVHT made a great impact as well.
We would also like to give out a "Good Sport Award" to our dunk tank participants: Troy Terronez, Vermillion Middle School vice principal, Mark Clark with The Bluffs golf course, Doug Brunick, Vermillion fire chief, Rich Job with New Concept Insurance, and Randy" Hammer" Eichelberg with KVHT/Mix 106.
It feels good knowing that together as a community we can, and do, enrich each other's lives. We at First Dakota National Bank are very proud to be a part of such a community and our "hats are off" to all of you.
