Lio honored as scholar

Lio honored as scholar The United States Achievement Academy has announced that Vicky Lio of Vermillion has been named an All-American Collegiate Scholar.

The USAA has established the All-American Collegiate Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines.

All-American Collegiate Scholars must earn a 3.3, or higher, grade point average.

Only scholars selected by a school official or other qualified sponsor are accepted. These scholars are also eligible for other awards given by the USAA.

Lio, who attends Iowa State University, was nominated for this national award by Irma Wilson-White.

Lio will appear in the All-American Collegiate Yearbook, which is published nationally.

Lio is the daughter of Yuhlong and Biying Lio from Vermillion.
