McDonald honored by NISOD

McDonald honored by NISOD Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) instructor Susan McDonald was among the teachers selected to receive the Teaching Excellence Award of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD).

McDonald is a biology instructor, and received her award at the 23rd annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin, TX, May 27-30.

McDonald, of Vermillion, was recognized for outstanding instructional skills, professionalism, involvement in student activities, flexibility and a perfect balance between seriousness and humor in the classroom.

NISOD is the outreach organization of the Community College Leadership Program, in the Department of Educational Administration, College of Education, at the University of Texas at Austin. NISOD supports the pursuit of excellence in teaching and leadership at its more than 600 member colleges across the United States and Canada and around the globe.
