Thompson is named Wells Fargo president Dennis Thompson has been named community banking president of the Yankton and Vermillion markets for Wells Fargo.
Thompson had most recently been community banking president of Wells Fargo in Mitchell since 1996. He replaces Doug Boe, who transferred with Wells Fargo to Rapid City to work in that market's business banking department.
Thompson joined Wells Fargo in 1989. He served as a business banker in Mitchell from 1990 to 1993, before moving to Chamberlain as community banking president from 1994 to 1996.
A native of Storden, MN, Thompson has been active in Mitchell, serving as president of the Mitchell United Way and treasurer of the Middle Border Museum. Additionally, he was a board member of the Mitchell Area Development Corporation, Mitchell Rotary Club and South Dakota Junior Achievement.
