Exchange vows

Exchange vows Rebecca A. Jensen and Donald E. Parish were married June 16 at First United Methodist Church, Yankton, with the Rev. Dean Trapp officiating.

Parents of the couple are Rick Jensen, Viborg, Brenda Jensen, Yankton, and Lyle and Donett Parish, Yankton. Grandparents are Richard H. and Phyllis Jensen, Hurley, Palmer and Marjorie Peterson, Viborg, Elvin and Erma Parish, Yankton, the late Don Myers, Yankton, and Beverly (Myers) Brown, Sioux Falls.

Maid of honor was Rachel Jensen, Rapid City. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Pieper, Scotland, and Rebecca Pederson, Vermillion. Flower girl was Madalyn Livingston, KS.

The bride's personal attendants were Carly Beusch, Cheyenne, WY, and Nikki Myers, Sioux Falls. Flower pinners were Bernice Peterson, Lakewood, CO, and Mary Sue Vollmer, Volin. Allison Mayer, Fairfield, IA, attended the guest book.

Jamie Parish, Yankton, was best man. Groomsmen were Ben Anderson, Yankton, and Jeff Myers, Sioux Falls. Ring bearers were Adam and Aaron Livingston, KS.

Ushers were Eric Turner, Yankton, Matt Bishop, Sioux Falls, Josh Roberts, Vermillion, and Mike Nelson, Redlands, CA. Candle lighters were Nicholas and Joshua Fleming, Lakewood CA.

Wedding music was provided by organists Mark and Betty Mayer, soloist Rebecca Pederson, Vermillion, soloist Alan Ward, Viborg, and accompanist Ethel Ward, Viborg.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Dave's at the Best Western Kelly Inn, Yankton, with Jim and Becky Zirpel as hosts. Punch was served by Amanda Myers, Yankton, and Sara Kirschenman, Yankton. Cake was cut by Darlene Carley, Newton, IA, Susan Stoneback, Pierre, and Gwen Jensen, Hurley.

The bride graduated from Yankton High School in 1995. She received her bachelor's degree in mass communication from The University of South Dakota in 1999 and is currently pursuing her MBA in health services administration. She is employed with the Yankton Daily Press & Dakotan.

The groom graduated from Yankton High School in 1994. He received his bachelor's degree in secondary education, with an emphasis in math education, from USD in 1999. He is currently a teacher for the Wakonda School District, teaching grades seven through 12 math and coaching seventh- and eighth-grade boys' basketball.

The couple resides in Vermillion.
