Local swimmers place well in Sioux Falls meet Sixteen Vermillion Area Swim Team members participated in the Sioux Falls Invitational Meet on July 13-15, in which 357 swimmers competed.
Results included:
Girls 6 and under � Kylie Martin: first, 50 breast, 50 free, 50 back.
Boys 8 and under � Kendall Martin: 17th, 50 back; 18th, 50 free.
Girls 10 and under � Karissa Martin: first, 50 free; second 50 back, 100 back; third, 200 IM.
Boys 12 and under � Tony Jensen: first 50 fly, 100 fly; second 200 IM, 100 breast, 50 breast, 50 back; third 400 free; fourth, 200 free.
Girls 12 and under � Erin Rasmussen: ninth, 100 fly; 10th, 100 free; 13th, 400 free; 16th, 50 fly; 18th, 200 free; 23rd, 200 IM; 26th, 50 free, 50 breast.
Boys 14 and under � Andrew Manning: second, 1500 free, 100 breast, 200 breast; third, 800 free, 200 back; fourth, 100 fly; sixth, 100 free; 10th, 50 free.
Girls 14 and under � Kara Rasmussen: 18th, 400 free; 27th, 100 back; 30th, 50 free, 200 free; 32nd, 100 free.
Boys 16 and under � Justin Manning: first 1500 free, 800 free, 400 free; second, 200 free, 100 fly; third, 100 fly, 100 free; fourth, 50 free.
