Teeners fall victim to Dakota Valley team The Vermillion Teeners baseball team faced the Dakota Valley Teeners at the McCook Lake baseball complex on Tuesday, July 17.

Matt Kallsen started for the visiting team and went three innings, giving up eight runs on seven hits, walking six and striking out four.

Brad Schaack took over and went the remainder of the game, surrendering four runs on six hits and striking out the side in the final inning.

The Vermillion offense consisted of three hits and 11 walks which contributed to their three runs.

Adam Brunick went one for two, scoring one and driving in one. Schaack was one for three, scoring once. Andrew Ofstehage scored the other run when Michael Fox walked with the bases loaded. Jared Burcham had the other single.

Final: Dakota Valley � 12 runs, 13 hits, 0 errors; Vermillion � 3 runs, 3 hits, 1 error.

The team's season record stands at 1-16.
