Auditions set for Diary The University of South Dakota Department of Theatre will hold auditions for The Diary of Anne Frank, Sept. 5 and 6 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in the Wayne S. Knutson Theatre. Written by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett and recently adapted by Wendy Kesselman, The Diary of Anne Frank looks at the Holocaust from the point of view of a spirited young girl whose family is hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam during World War II. The version of the play to be produced includes newly discovered writings from Anne's diary.
Auditions, which are open to the public, will consist of readings from the script. Those who plan to audition are asked to reserve a specific audition time on the theatre callboard. Scripts may be signed out from the departmental office, room 184A in Fine Arts.
Professor Ron Moyer will direct the play and can be contacted at 677-5735 for further information.
