Knutson will be inducted into SD Hall of Fame Thirteen South Dakotans and former South Dakotans, including Dr. Wayne Knutson of Vermillion, will be inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8, at the Ramkota Inn in Pierre.
The Hall of Fame is now accepting reservations for the induction ceremonies.
A reception for new inductees, their families and guests will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The annual silent auction to help support the Hall of Fame will also start Friday night.
The Honors Luncheon will start at 11:30 a.m. Saturday where honor year inductees from 1981, 1986, 1991 and 1996 will be recognized. Plaques will be presented to two immediate past Hall of Fame board members, Wallace Larsen of Pierre and formerly of Watertown, and Ruth Sutton of Bonesteel. The noon program will also include the presentation of medallions to this year's inductees and recognition will be made of the recent South Dakota Hall of Fame honorariums.
The Saturday night Honors Banquet will start with a 6 p.m. social hour, followed by the dinner with the presentation and responses from the inductees.
In addition to Knutson, the other inductees are Marjorie Forney (deceased) of Pierre, the Rev. Alexander Bombera of Plankinton, Dr. Arthur and Dr. Doris Huseboe, Danny Olson and Jim Woster of Sioux Falls, Joseph Habeger of Madison, Keith Keltgen (deceased) of Gettysburg, Terry Redlin and Dr. Gerald Tracy of Watertown, Oscar Micheaux (deceased) of Gregory and John Verschoor (deceased) of Mitchell.
Saturday's luncheon tickets are $17.50 each in advance and $25 at the door. Banquet tickets are $37.50 each in advance and $40 at the door. Please send your luncheon and banquet reservations with a check to the South Dakota Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 180, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
Corporate sponsorship of tables, which includes eight tickets and a corporate logo at the table, are also available.

Individual and family memberships to the South Dakota Hall of Fame are also available at $60 per year and business annual memberships are $100 per year. They may also be sent to the above address. A membership includes a subscription to the South Dakota Magazine, discounts at the gift shop in Chamberlain and invitations to special events and exhibit opening at the Hall of Fame.
