Ruedebusch earns degree

Ruedebusch earns degree Vanessa Ruedebusch of Port Orchard, WA, graduated magna cum laude with a degree in mechanical engineering at commencement exercises for the University of Denver on June 9.

Ruedebusch was active in Alpine Club, Society of Women Engineers and Undergraduate Women's Council. She was selected Outstanding Senior Woman, Outstanding Engineering Student and inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Ruedebusch is a 1997 graduate of South Kitsap High School. She is the daughter of Alan and Susan (Bensen) Ruedebusch and granddaughter of Donald and Roberta Bensen of Vermillion and the late Dale and Opal Ruedebusch.

She is employed by the University of Denver biomechanical research, focusing on the knee and knee replacements. Ruedebusch hopes to attend medical school in 2002.
