Swimmers compete at state meet Eight local swimmers competed with Sara Hamlet as coach on Aug. 3, 4 and 5 at the South Dakota Long Course State Championship meet. Competitors all had to have qualifying times in events they swam.
Results were:
8 and under girls � Kylie Martin, 20th 50 free; 25th 50 breast.
8 and under boys � Scott Dykstra, eighth 50 back; ninth 50 free, 100 free; 11th 50 breast.
10 and under girls � Karissa Martin, first 50 back; second 100 back; third 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 IM; fourth 50 fly.
12 and under girls � Erin Rasmussen, 14th 200 free.
12 and under boys � Tony Jensen, first 50 breast, 100 breast; second 50 fly, 100 fly; fourth 200 IM, 50 back; fifth 400 free.
14 and under boys � Andrew Manning, first 1500 free; third 200 back; fourth 800 free; sixth 200 free, 400 free; 11th 100 free, 50 free; Darren Martin, second 1500 free, 800 free; seventh 400 free; eighth 100 free, 200 free; 12th 50 free.
16 and under boys � Justin Manning � first 800 free, 1500 free; second 200 free, 400 free; third 100 fly, 200 back; fourth 100 free.
