Yankton defeats VHS in return tennis match by Jim Prosser In a return match against the Yankton Gazelles, the VHS girls' tennis team lost 8-1 at the VHS tennis courts Sept. 6.
"We had a very tough time against Yankton again this week," said coach Barb Rickord. "They are a strong team and adapted to the wind better than we did."
Maya Ristic remains undefeated at #1 singles.
"We look forward to playing better against them in our third meeting of the season next week under the lights in Yankton," Rickord said.

In junior varsity action, Britt Fremstad (V) lost to Leah Battin 4-8 and to Jenn Muller (4-6).
