Baroque duo to perform Oct. 19 The Laird Baroque Duo from the University of Kansas will present a brown bag lunch program, "Music for Flute and 'Cello by J. S. Bach, Michel Blavet and George P. Telemann," at America's Shrine to Music Museum on the campus of The University of South Dakota, Friday, Oct. 19, at 12:05 p.m.

Paul Laird, professor of music and director of the Collegium Musicum at the University of Kansas, is a well-known baroque 'cello player, who is currently writing a history of the revival of the baroque 'cello.

Joy Laird is an active baroque flute and recorder player who has performed with Baroque Notion, Tastowerk, the Oread Baroque Ensemble and the Spencer Consort.

The museum's poplar brown bag lunch programs are free and open to the public.
