Exchange vows Heather Waring and Darren Johnson were married Aug. 11 at First United Methodist Church, Vermillion, with the Rev. Brook McBride officiating.
Parents of the couple are Bruce and JoAnn Waring, Watertown, and Gail and Wanda Johnson and Rod and Cheryl Renner, Wall.
Maid of honor was Michelle List, Yankton. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Renner, Wall; Desiree Walsh, Lincoln, NE; Allison Dishbrow, Plymouth, MN; Malori Johnson, Wall; and Sara Frankenstein, Rapid City. Flower girl was Abby Bernard, Rapid City. Jean Gibb and Janet Walsh, both of York, NE, attended the guest book.
Matthew Brucklacher, Greeley, CO, was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Patterson, Hillsboro, OR; Nathanael Williams, Lakewood, CO; Neil Renner, Falmouth, MA; Shaun Johnson, Pierre; Garrett Bryan, Wall. Ring bearer was Gavin Martz, Rapid City. Ushers were Nat Carter, Vermillion; Ryan Donovan, Sioux Falls; Sean Patterson, Chester; and Dylan Martz, Rapid City.
Wedding music was provided by Sara Frankenstein and Ryan Patterson, vocalists, and Jason Dobney, Vermillion, pianist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Kelly Inn, Yankton, with Gary and Ruby Keyser, Wall, as hosts. Punch was served by Cristi Livermont, Wanblee, and Tommie White, Wall. Cake was cut/served by Gail Bernard and Gretchen Martz, both of Rapid City. Videography was by Richard Waring, Watertown.
The bride received an M.A. in counseling from The University of South Dakota in 2001, and is working as a career counselor for Black Hills State University in Spearfish.
The groom received a B.S. in biology from USD in 1999 and is working as a biological science technician for Badlands National Park.
The couple resides in Rapid City.
