Friends of library plan annual used book sale

Friends of library plan annual used book sale The Fall Used Book Sale at the Vermillion Public Library will be held Oct. 19-20.

Hardcover and paperback books, magazines, videos and other materials retired from the library's collection and donated to the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library are specially priced during the sale.

Items sell for 25 or 50 cents each or customers can fill a bag for $3 or a box for $4 with items of their choice.

"We have a lot of hardcover mysteries and Westerns in this fall's sale and a good selection of paperback romances, along with a wide selection of titles in all areas," according to Librarian Jane Larson.

The Fall Used Book Sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Vermillion Public Library to support programs such as the Summer Reading Program, Literary Luncheon and special equipment purchases, such as a DVD player for the library.

Hours for the sale are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, coinciding with normal library hours.
