Singles in Agriculture will host activities The Nebraska and Northern Great Plains Chapter of singles in Agriculture will host a weekend of activities in Yankton Oct. 12-14.
Singles in Agriculture is a national organization that promotes social, educational and recreational activities for persons who are either widowed or single and are involved in farming or ranching activities or work with an agribusiness or organization.
The group will kick off its weekend of activities at the Yankton County 4-H Building after 5 p.m. on Oct. 12. Supper that evening will be at Murdo's beginning at 6 p.m. Following the meal, there will be a tour of the Masonic Temple. The group will then join the Yankton Singles at the VFW Club for their monthly singles dance.
On Oct. 13, the group will begin the day's activities at 9 a.m. by touring the KK93 radio station. At 10 a.m. the group will tour Garritys' Prairie Gardens. The afternoon activities include a tour of Lewis and Clark Lake Gavins Point Dam Visitor Center and the DJ&J Craft Show. Following supper at 6:30 p.m. at JoDean's Steak House, there will be a dance at the 4-H Building.
The weekend of events in Yankton will conclude on Oct. 14, with breakfast at Yesterday's Caf�.
Singles in Agriculture has been around since 1986 and offers singles the opportunity to correspond with and meet other single farm people from throughout the country. Membership encompasses a broad range as well as single, divorced and widowed individuals.
