Exchange vows

Exchange vows Kristina Chaussee, Viborg, and James Werdel, Hurley, were marred on Sept. 15, 2001 at St. Boniface Idylwilde Catholic Church, rural Freeman, with Father Denis Meier and Father Gregg Frankman officiating.

Parents of the couple are Rick and Pam Chausee, Viborg, and Bill and Peggy Werdel, Hurley.

Matron of Honor was Denise Graves, Sioux Falls. Bridesmaids were Deirdre Flaherty, Missoula, MT, Julie Nielsen, Davenport, IA, and Renee Werdel, Sioux Falls. Mackenzie Nielsen, Davenport, IA, and Ashley Schulz, Vermillion, were the flower girls. Kris Schaeffer, Viborg, was the personal attendant.

Best man was Willie Werdel, Hurley. Groomsmen were Nathan Simonsen, Hurley, and Douglas Chaussee and Matthew Chaussee, both of Viborg. Lathan Ohlrich, Belden, NE, was the ring bearer.

Ushers were Derrick Brown and Tyler Brown, both of Vermillion, Evert Olsen, Hurley, Jeris Rus, Corsica, and Andy Werdel, Miller. Organist was Linda Peterson, Yankton. Solists were Cyndi Nelson, Wakonda, and Shelly Slack, Viborg.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Viborg Community Center. Host couples were Danny and Sandy Brown, Vermillion, and Mark and Carol Steichen, Wessington Springs.

The bride is a 2001 business graduate of Mount Marty College and is employed at Thoms Company and Help-U-Sell Real Estate in Sioux Falls.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Mitchell Technical institutes and is employed with Werdel Construction. The couple resides in Hurley.
