Van Kleys to present special music, ministry Dave and Jody Van Kley will present their fun and exciting music ministry for the whole family on Sunday, Nov. 4 at Hillside Community Church, 1800 Constance, Vermillion, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Kids love to get involved in the Van Kleys' fun-filled music and they will leave with new songs on their lips and the message of God's love in their hearts. Parents and grandparents will also hear songs that touch and encourage the heart as only music can.
Dave Van Kley has a B.A. in psychology and a M.Div. from Fuller Seminary and has served as a youth and children's pastor, a regional youth ministry consultant and trainer, and as a college chaplain.
Jody Van Kley has held positions as an elementary school teacher, a music teacher, and a church music director. She is a published composer and teaches piano to over 25 students in southwest suburbs of Chicago.
The Van Kleys have been performing and recording music for over 17 years and have produced two recordings for children. In 2000 they developed a musical assembly program for use in public elementary schools.
Their "Music that Matters" program focuses on character development and values reinforcement and has been tremendously well-received by over 10,000 students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
