Vermillion students perform at All State

Vermillion students perform at All State Nine members of the Vermillion High School Department of Music are performing at the 2001 South Dakota All State Orchestra and Chorus Festival Friday, Nov. 9 through Saturday, Nov. 10 on the Northern State University campus in Aberdeen.

The chorus representatives are Amanda Aga, Mike Clark, Rebecca Gehm, Zach Holoch, Alexis Lang, Justin Manning, Ben McBride and Heather Reeves.

Jim Hoadley is Vermillion's representative in the orchestra's viola section. Jon Hoadley, Lang and McBride are four-year members of All State Orchestra/Chorus.

The grand finale concert will be held in the Barnett Center at NSU on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. This year's All State Chorus conductor is Dr. Lynda Hassler from Capital University. Conducting the All State Orchestra will be Dr. Susan Haig, music director/conductor of the South Dakota Symphony in Sioux Falls.

Concert tickets go on sale at the Barnett Center Box Office at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Prices are $7 for adults and $3 for students.
